Tennessee Repertory Theatre 2009/2010 Season Open Call Auditions

Seeking actor/singers for the musical who play instruments such as guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, fiddle. Roles for African-American actor/singers will be available.
To secure an audition:(Auditions are by appointment only)
• Please email Tennessee Rep's stage manager, David Wilkerson, at davidw@tennesseerep.org.
• In your email, indicate if you have a day preference and any conflicts you have (“I can’t audition before 3:00 pm on Monday” or “I need to audition on Tuesday before 6:00 pm” etc.).
• You will receive an email with your audition time within 48–72 hours.
(If you do not have email access, you may request an audition time by leaving a message and your phone number at 615.349.3217. However, please note that you will receive your audition slot more quickly if you send your request via email.)
• Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your reserved time.
• Bring 2 copies of your current headshot and resumé.
• Prepare two contrasting monologues. The two monologues together should total no more than three (3) minutes. To be considered for the musical, prepare 16 bars of a show tune and bring sheet music in the desired key (an accompanist will be provided). (If singing, your 16 bars does not have to be included in your 3 minutes, however PLEASE RESPECT THE 16 BARS LIMITATION. You will be stopped if you exceed 4 minutes.)
Tennessee Rep hires local adult, professional (Equity and non-Equity) actors. Equity actors must show their valid membership cards. No housing is available. Full and fair casting consideration will be given to ethnic minorities, women, seniors, and actors with disabilities.
Directions to TN Rep offices:
From I-65: Take the Wedgewood Ave Exit. Turn East onto Wedgewood Ave. Go through one light and, just before the fairgrounds, turn left onto Rains Ave. Go up the slight hill and just past the school on your left, turn left and stop at the security gate. Punch in the code “# 9 1 7 3“ and wait for the gate to open. Drive around right and park in the front of the building. Go in the main lobby doors and there will be a Tennessee Rep staff person to meet you.
